Who We Are
Commonotherwise Septic is a referral service for septic and sewer problems. We connect homeowners in Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh area with independent local providers.
That is all we do. We are the link between you and the person who does the work.
Why We Exist
Most people do not think about their septic tank or sewer line until something goes wrong. Then they search, compare and wait. That costs time. Time lets a small problem grow.
We built this service to cut the searching. Describe the problem, and we point you to a provider who can look at it.
A fast, clean fix protects the house. It protects the yard. It also protects resale value. Buyers and inspectors look hard at septic and sewer records.
How Providers Are Matched
You request an estimate or request a callback to check availability. We pass your details to an independent provider in the network who serves your area and handles your type of job.
The provider then contacts you. They explain the next step and book a visit.
What We Expect From Providers
Providers in our network are independent businesses. We ask them to:
- Be clear about what they found.
- Give a quote in writing.
- Explain the work before they start.
- Hold the licenses and permits their area requires.
- Treat your home and yard with care.
Each provider is responsible for its own work, pricing and licensing. Always confirm these details yourself before you hire.
What We Do Not Do
We do not pump tanks. We do not fix drainfields. We do not dig or replace sewer lines. We do not set prices, and we do not promise timing.
We also do not decide what your home needs. The provider does that after a real look at the system.
If your insurance policy matters, check it. Some policies may cover sudden damage. Providers can often help document damage for a claim. Your insurer makes the final call.
How We Are Paid
Independent providers may pay Commonotherwise Septic for referrals. You pay the provider for the work, based on the quote you agree to. Requesting an estimate carries no obligation.
